Lip filler Clinic – Solihull

The lips are one of the first facial features that can really show the signs of ageing. This delicate, vascular area can become thinner, dehydrated and lines and wrinkles can appear, with the onset of time or through lifestyle choices such as smoking or excessive UV exposure. A youthful pout is full, smooth and plump and when time takes its toll, we may wish to replenish the lost collagen and elastin that naturally depletes from this area, as we get older. From his lip filler clinic in Solihull, Dr Dan Dhunna offers lip restoration and augmentation using temporary dermal fillers, to replenish volume, correct asymmetry and give you a beautiful lip profile, so synonymous with youth and good health.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances of varying thicknesses. They contain hyaluronic acid (HA) a naturally-occurring sugar found in the joints, eyes and connective tissues as well as the skin. As HA is lost as we age, the skin becomes less elastic, toned and hydrated. Replacing the lost HA, using injectable dermal fillers in the lips helps to revitalise the lip tissues and re-shape the mouth area.

Am I Suitable for lip fillers at Dr Dan Dhunna’s lip filler clinic in Solihull?

Before any treatment can commence at his lip filler clinic in Solihull, Dr Dhunna will ask that you attend a no obligation, pre-treatment consultation, so that he can get to know what is really bothering you about your lips and also check your medical history, to ensure that the treatment will be safe and suitable for you. After which, you will be able to make an informed decision yourself, on whether you would like to go ahead with the treatment.

What happens during the treatment at Dr Dan Dhunna’s lip filler clinic in Solihull?

Dr Dan Dhunna will numb your lips using a topical numbing cream or using a dental anaesthetic. He will then place small amounts of the dermal filler around the vermillion boarder of your lips or within the ‘body’ of the lip and in some cases, both areas will be injected, using a needle or a cannula. After your treatment you will see immediate results but you may experience some slight swelling and in rare cases, a little bruising, so may need to wait a day or two for this to subside before seeing the optimum results. You’ll need to adhere to any aftercare advice that the doctor gives you, such as avoiding hot saunas, steam rooms and excessive exercise for around 48 hours after your treatment.

How long do results last from dermal fillers in the lip area?

Results can last up to 12 months, depending on your individual metabolism, lifestyle choices and how well you take care of your skin.
