Solihull’s answer to dermal fillers for staying youthful

As the winter months fade and the warmer weather starts to creep through, we might be noticing that our looks may be in need of a refresh. From the ravages of central heating and harsh weather, to the natural ageing process, our faces can go through some extensive changes in winter time. If surgery isn’t the answer, then how can we refresh our looks without going under the knife? At Dr Dan Dhunna’s clinics in London and the Midlands, we offer dermal filler for a range of skin and facial concerns, from deeper lines and wrinkles, hollows and furrows to general skin hydration and health.

For those patients based in and around Solihull, it couldn’t be more easy and convenient and safe to obtain dermal fillers with Dr Dan Dhunna, and patients from Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry visit him religiously for their regular dermal filler treatments, to stay youthful and fresh looking.

Dermal fillers contain a substance called hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring sugar which is found in areas of the human body such as the eyes, connective tissues, joints and the skin. HA (as it is more widely known in the industry) holds up to 1000 times its own weight in water. This means, when it is placed within the skin tissues by means of injection, it can help to re-hydrate and replenish the skin cells. The HA in dermal fillers are suspended in a gel-like substance, which can either be very fluid or very supportive and thick (viscous), meaning they can be used in a variety of ways for a myriad of indications. These include:-

  • Adding volume to sunken, hollow areas such as the temples and cheeks.
  • Filling deep set static lines and wrinkles
  • Reducing the appearance of under eye bags and dark circles
  • Plumping and re-shaping the lips
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose job)
  • Chin enhancement
  • Jawline contouring
  • General skin enhancement (skin boosters)
  • Full or partial non-surgical face lift

How do I know if I would benefit from dermal fillers with Dr Dan Dhunna?

Before embarking on any non-surgical treatment with Dr Dan Dhunna, he will ask that you attend a no obligation consultation and facial analysis at one of his London or Midlands clinics, so he can speak with you at length about what worries you about your facial appearance and the results you are looking for. It may be that you’re not quite sure what you’re bothered by, but feel that you just feel you have ‘aged’ a little, or the shape of your nose might not be what you’d like but don’t want to undergo invasive and painful surgery. You may simply want a minor lip enhancement to give yourself a boost, or feel that a full face rejuvenation is what is required for optimum enhancement. Whatever you feel you need, Dr Dan Dhunna can assist and advise you on the very best course of action, in this initial meeting. He will also check your medical history, as it’s important to rule out any contraindications or medical reasons why you might not be suitable for a treatment using dermal fillers. Once he is satisfied that you will both benefit and will be safe for a dermal filler procedure, Dr Dan Dhunna can book you in for your appointment.

On the day of your treatment and depending on which indication you are having treated with dermal fillers, Dr Dan Dhunna may use a topical anaesthetic cream. After this has taken effect, he will use either a needle or a cannula to inject the product in to the treatment areas. He may then mould and shape the dermal fillers with his fingers, to ensure a very natural look. After your treatment is complete, you can return to your daily activities (being mindful of any aftercare advise that Dr Dan Dhunna offers you). There may be some swelling, bruising and tenderness in the treated area and this will dissipate within a few days to a week.

Results from dermal fillers can last anything from 4 to 24 months and this all depends on the treatment you are having, the type of filler used and your natural elimination of the product over time. The longevity of your results will be discussed, in your initial consultation with Dr Dan Dhunna.

Having a dermal filler treatment could be just what you need to prepare you for the warmer climes, to enhance your confidence and make you feel more like ‘you’ again. Turning back time doesn’t mean general anaesthetics or scalpels, just the medical knowledge, expertise and artistic creativity of Dr Dan Dhunna and your goals for a younger looking you.
